Below are the three publishing paths available through Represent Publishing. Each one builds on the last so you can confidently choose the level of support that matches your goals. Packages also offer a savings on services.
The Essential Path
Perfect for: Authors who need a proofread and are looking for a streamlined, guided experience through the self-publishing process.
What's Included:
Proofreading — A final polish to correct grammar, punctuation, and surface-level errors.
Formatting (Interior Design) — Professional layout for print and ebook editions.
*Custom Book Cover Design — Cover designed by BEDESIGNS. (If you choose another designer, a surcharge will apply.)
Setup of Two Self-Publishing Platforms — Usually KDP + IngramSpark, unless otherwise requested.

The Enhanced Path
Perfect for: Authors who need editorial support before publishing, so the book is polished both inside and out.
What's Included:
Additional 60-min phone or video call — To discuss any questions/concerns + revision plan
Line Editing — Sentence flow, tone, voice consistency, clarity, cadence, emotional impact and fact checking.
Everything from The Essential Path, PLUS:
Developmental Editing — Developmental assessment provided with chapter-by-chapter feedback, using the same color-coded system (strengths, priority revisions, optional suggestions, watch items) as the standalone service, so you always know what to tackle first.
*Estimated 20-week service from beginning to publication based on an 80k novel, including average revision times.
**Any service less than 20 weeks may be considered a rush service.

The Representation Method

This is our most comprehensive and popular service.

Book Coaching — Weekly/bi-weekly submissions. Weekly/bi-weekly brainstorming phone/video calls. Consistent accountability. Deadlines that are realistic, but give you the push you need. Guidance from idea throughout revisions to publication.
Developmental Editing Throughout the Process — Developmental assessment provided with chapter-by-chapter feedback, using the same color-coded system (strengths, priority revisions, optional suggestions, watch items) as the standalone service, so you always know what to tackle first.
*Estimated 45-week service from beginning to publication based on an 80k novel, including average revision times.
**Any service less than 45 weeks may be considered a rush service.

Some projects—especially longer-term or multi-phase ones—need a fully custom structure. Full Manuscript Support is available as a custom-quoted package for authors whose needs go beyond a standard path.

Every client gets access to a personal project portal. Your revision roadmap, feedback, and timeline in one place, so you're never wondering what's next or where things stand.
Inside the portal, you also have the ability to insert your own deadlines, for services or deadlines that are separate from Represent Publishing. For example, keeping track of beta reader feedback/deadlines, market/social media calendars/ideas. The portal is yours to customize.
Represent Publishing offers a limited number of scholarship spots each season for indie authors who are serious about their work but facing financial barriers to professional editing.
Scholarship pricing is available on a case-by-case basis and is not publicly advertised.
